About Divesh
A dasha prediction tells you which chapter of life you are in and what the next one may bring, and it is one of the main things Divesh offers on HealAstro. He works with Vedic astrology, numerology and tarot, along with healing, and he consults in Hindi, English and Punjabi.
Divesh uses each tool for what it does best. The Vedic dasha system shows the long-term timeline of your life; numerology gives a quick read on the year you are in; and tarot shows how a particular situation feels right now. Together they give a clear, layered picture, from the big chapter down to the next practical step. He explains the reasoning behind each prediction, so you understand which planet is behind a change and roughly how long its influence is likely to last, and he is happy to answer questions from family members who join the session.
What you can ask Divesh about
- Your current mahadasha: which planet's period you are in and what it emphasises.
- The next antardasha: what the coming sub-period is likely to bring.
- Career and money: timing for job changes, investments and business moves.
- Relationships and marriage: periods that support commitment and harmony.
- The year ahead: your numerology personal year alongside the dasha.
- Present situations: tarot insight, plus healing as a complementary support.
How do mahadasha and antardasha combinations work?
In the Vimshottari system, your life is divided into nine major periods, or mahadashas, each ruled by a planet. Within each mahadasha there are nine sub-periods, called antardashas (or bhuktis), ruled in turn by each planet in the same fixed order. A reading looks at both rulers together, because the sub-period lord "colours" the main period. For example, Jupiter mahadasha with Venus antardasha may bring growth together with comfort or relationships, if both planets are well placed; Saturn mahadasha with Rahu antardasha may feel heavier and more unsettled. The astrologer considers each planet's strength, the houses it rules and occupies in your chart, and its relationship with the other planet. A friendly, well-placed pair usually gives smoother results than two planets in conflict. Transits of Saturn and Jupiter then help pinpoint when events within that sub-period are likely. You can see your own dasha periods by generating a free kundli, and this guide to the 12 houses in Vedic astrology explains the house rulerships involved.

How long does each dasha last?
Mahadashas range from 6 years (Sun) to 20 years (Venus). Antardashas within them last from a few months to a few years.
